Course Outline
Course description: Our mini-stay programmes are project-based.
This means that students are engaged in weekly projects that involve research about a topic, compilation of information, creation of an exhibition and a final Friday presentation.
Students do online research, go to libraries, museums or explore the city investigating their topic, create a survey and ask questions to people on the streets of Dublin and compile the information that will lead to the final presentation at the end of the week.
Students are supported by their teachers in their creations and that’s when upgrade of language takes place. Students learn new vocabulary and grammar that supports their research. The presentations are a great opportunity for students to discover how capable they are at the production of the English language and this gives them a renewed sense of confidence. It’s a very rewarding experience as students use the language in a fun and meaningful way.
